Little Crater Lake Campground Description
Little Crater Lake is a campground that is located slightly NE of Timothy Lake and is near what is called “Little Crater Lake“. The actual lake is a very small spring that is crystal clear and reflects a beautiful, turquoise blue hue. This is not a recreational lake as the temperature is at a steady 34 degrees, there are no beaches and it is very small.
The Little Crater Lake campground tends to serve as more of an “overflow” campground when nearby Timothy Lake Campgrounds are full. The campground is in a loop format and hosts 16 sites, potable water, vaulted toilets and will run you about $21 per night.
Reservations can be made for the Little Crater Lake Campground and due to its popularity, we suggest you make sure you secure a spot before heading out.
Nearby attractions include the obvious Little Crater Lake, Timothy Lake, Clackamas Lake and hiking aplenty.
