Hoodview Campground Description

Hoodview Campground is located on the south eastern shore of the Timothy Lake Reservoir in Mount Hood National Forest. AS the name states, the campground offers spectacular views of Mount Hood looming in the distance. This popular campground is a summertime destination for families, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The campground itself is in a loop format with the most popular sites being on the shore of the lake. You will almost certainly need a reservation when camping at Timothy Lake as the sites fill up very quickly and campers make reservations up to 6 months in advance.

Timothy Lake offers all sorts of activities from boating, hiking, biking, swimming and fishing. The lake does allow motorized boats however there is a lake wide speed limit of 5mph.
