Meditation Point Campground Description

Meditation Point is a hike or boat in only campground located on the NW side of Timothy Lake in the Mount Hood National Forest.  There are only 5 campsites and the campground itself gets very light usage due to it’s difficult accessibility.  There is one small outhouse and no water at the campground so be prepared for primitive type camping.  There is no fee to use the campground however there is a $5 parking fee at the day use area. The actual campsites are on the lake shore however in spots there is not much of a beach which can make enjoying the water difficult. You will mostly find boaters camped at Mediation Point.

  1. Are there any availabilities for this coming weekend? I know it’s last minute but my family and I would love to go this weekend, if possible.

    Thank you!
    Jadine

  2. How long is the hike in to here? And I understand it’s first come first serve is there camping near by if it’s not available in this particular area?

  3. The posted photos of MP campground are of Council Lake CG (at least, that’s how they are labeled; photo of CG bulletin board also of the Council Lake CG).
