Mazama Campground Description

Located near the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park, Mazama campground is considered the “main” campground of the entire park.  Just 7 miles from the rim of Crater Lake, Mazama Campground is in the ideal location for those looking to spend their day driving and hiking around the deep blue waters of this ancient volcano.

The campground is on par with most national park facilities: plush with running water, flushing toilets,  showers, a nearby general store, camp host, paved loops, firewood for sale and even a place to do your laundry.  If you are looking for primitive and remote camping then move on.  Each campsite comes equipped with a bear locker however bears are a rare site her due to the high traffic nature of the campground.
