Kinnikinnick Campground (Laurence Lake) Closure

Kinnikinnick Campground at Laurence Lake is currently closed after experiencing excessive snowmelt which led to flooding rivers that washed out the access road to the campground. Mt. Hood wasn’t exempt from soaring temperatures over the last several days and the snowpack melted much more rapidly than normal. This raised the rivers and creeks significantly creating a dangerous situation for those looking to cool off in the woods.

As of now there is no specific date at which the access road to Laurence Lake will reopen. For more details on the closure visit: https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/mthood/alerts-notices/?aid=66904
