Joe Graham Horse Camp Campground Description

Joe Graham Horse Campground is located in the Mount Hood National Forest near Timothy Lake. The campground is designated as a “horse camp” and has 14 campsites with each site offering a corral for visitor’s horses.  While this is a horse campground campers without horses are also allowed to camp here (though you probably should just camp at Timothy Lake or Clackamas Lake campgrounds instead).

Joe Graham Campground is situated on the edge of Clackamas Meadows in a well forested area offering plenty of shade and shelter.  The views of the meadow from the campground are excellent.  While Joe Graham Campground does offer access to Timothy Lake it should be noted that Timothy Lake is not within eye site of the campground and you will either have to walk about 5-10 mins to get to the lake.

The campground is nice for those seeking horse friendly accommodations and has potable water, vault toilets, picnic tables and fire pits.  The closest general store is at CJ’s Mountain Store off Highway 26 about 25 minutes away.  There is no cell phone reception here.
