Nice, large campsites spaced well apart. 5 & 6 are particularly well-sited for views of the Metolius, and the roar of rushing water makes for great sound isolation from other campers. Deep night sky views to be had between the very tall Ponderosa pines. A mix of picnic table styles—some standard size, some double-long, others with a wheelchair-accessible extension.
Candle Creek campground is ungated, and though officially closed for the season on Sep 18, 2016—without trash or toilet service until May—the toilet remains unlocked and accessible, and no fees are collected.
The nearest place to purchase firewood is at the Camp Sherman Store.
