Elk Meadows Trailhead

Elk Meadows Trailhead is located on the SE Side of Mt. Hood near the Mt. Hood Meadows Hood River Meadows parking lot off Highway 35.  It is roughly 20 minutes east of Government Camp.  The trailhead provides parking and access to a large network of trails on Mt. Hood with the primary trail being that which leads to Elk Meadows.  Other trails in the area lead to Sahale Falls and Umbrella Falls.

A Northwest Forest Pass or day pass is required to park at this trailhead.  Expect crowds during summer months and seclusion during early spring and fall.
