Hause Creek Campground is located on the Tieton River below the Rimrock Lake Dam on Highway 12 east of Yakima, Washington. The campground features 42 sites and has flushing toilets and potable water. Hause Creek Campground is about a 5 minute drive from Rickrock lake and 20 minute drive from White Pass which makes it a popular “base camp” for outdoor enthusiasts looking to take advantage of all that the Wenatchee National Forest has to offer.
The campground itself has a nice layout with about half of the sites being very private and half being not private at all. There is a power substation in the middle of the campground however only a few sites are actually near it. There are several walk up sites as well and these are possible situated the best of all the sites when it comes to proximity to the river. The bathrooms here have flushing toilets and are well maintained and clean and there are plenty of water spickets through the campground for easy access to drinking water.
The Tieton River is very cold even during the hottest summer months so be extra cautious when swimming as it will catch most people off guard. Additionally, the river near the campground is extremely swift and is not recommended for children or pets unless watched closely.
Overall this is a good campground with nice sites and great river access.

Which sites are available Labor Day weekend
Hi Sheila – it looks like there are some issues with this campground for the 2017 season. Per the Reserve America website: 2017 Season: Due to ongoing issues with the water and sewer system this facility will not be available for advanced reservations for the 2017 season. The campground will be open, however, campsites will only be available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check back for 2018 reservation updates.
So your best bet is to show up early and have a plan B and C in place in case there are no sites available. Have fun.
