Irondyke Forest Campground Description

Irondyke Forest Campground is located on the Lostine River corridor in the Wallowa Whitman National Forest.  The campground is small with just 5 campsites and has a horse area which is popular with pack horses.  The campground is commonly used as a staging area for hikers and riders entering the Eagle Cap Wilderness.

The campground itself is located adjacent to the Upper Lostine Road which is a gravel/dirt road.  The sites are split with half of them on one side of the road and the other half on the other side of the road.  You can expect an overnight fee of $5 with sparse amenities – no water, an older vault toilet, picnic tables and a fire ring.
