Beverly Beach Campground Description

Beverly Beach State Park and Campground is a widely popular and massive campground/state park located on the Oregon Coast near Otter Rock and Devil’s Punch Bowl State Park.  Beverly Beach Campground is setup to accommodate massive holiday crowds and the first thing you will notice when you drive up is a multi-laned check-in area.  Beverly Beach State Park Campground is home to 125 tent campsites, 53 full hookup RV sites, 75 Electrical hookup sites including water, 21 yurts, 3 large group tent sites as well as a hiker/biker camping area.  So yes, this campground is MASSIVE.  The campground also includes flushing toilets, running water that is also OK for drinking, a RV dump station, onsite camphosts, firewood for sale and a yurt meeting hall (not really sure what that is).

The campground sits on the other side of the highway from Beverly Beach however there is easy beach access that is a quick 5 minute walk from the campground.  This is NOT beach front camping however Beverly Beach is certainly worth the quick walk from the campground.  Beverly Beach is a massive beach front with plenty of room for the hundreds of campers that flock here during the busy summer months.  On a sunny day it is great for kite flying, sand castle building, relaxing and for the brave – a dip in the ocean.  Views are plenty both north and south so don’t forget your camera.

The campground itself is setup in a forest style setting the runs along a spencer creek and has some sites with privacy and others with none.  They layout is with a road running down the middle and 9 loops (yes, you read it right, 9!) running off the main road.  There is also a large day use area parking center for those just looking to stop by and checkout the beach.

Conclusion: If you are looking to get away from the city crowds look elsewhere.  This is one of the largest campground facilities in the entire state of Oregon and finding solitude here will be nearly impossible.  If you are looking for a campground with full amenities, a great beach for the family, nature trails, and full RV hookups then you have found heaven.   Just keep in mind that you will almost always need reservations in the peak summer months if you want to stay here.
