Lake Mayfield is great for water sports and the campground has a nearby boat ramp to make things easy for water access. Not a boater? Ike Kinswa State Park and Campground is a very popular destination for campers and you may find that the campground is full if you just show up during peak summer months. It is advised that you make a campground reservation prior to arriving to be sure you have a place to stay the night.
In general, we find this to be a great campground for everyone – RVs and tent campers alike. It may get a little loud when the campground is full but the sites are spaced out nicely and the tent campers have their own loop all to themselves. The presence of hookup for the RVs means you don’t have to endure the sound of generators running day and night.
