The Point Campground Description
The Point RV Park and Campground is located on the shores of Emigrant Lake just outside of Ashland, Oregon. It is considered one of the best campgrounds on Emigrant Lake thanks to its close proximity to the water and easy access for boaters, paddlers, and swimmers. The campground is operated by Jackson County Parks and offers full hookups, making it an ideal spot for RV travelers exploring southern Oregon.
Campsites at The Point are arranged in a loop with paved roads that are flat and easy to navigate. Most sites are pull-through or back-in and can accommodate larger RVs and trailers. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and access to flush toilets and showers located in the center of the loop.
Lake access is a key draw for this campground. Many campsites have direct or near-direct access to the shoreline with only a slight hill between the campsite and the water. This makes it a great location for those looking to spend time on or near the lake without having to drive to a day-use area.
The campground is a short drive from downtown Ashland, making it a convenient basecamp for those attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival or exploring the surrounding area. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially in summer, and can be made through the Jackson County Parks website.
The Point RV Park and Campground offers one of the most convenient and scenic camping experiences at Emigrant Lake and is a solid choice for anyone passing through the Ashland area.
