Beaver Bay Campground Description

Beaver Bay Campground is located 30 miles east of Woodland Washington and sits just on the outskirts of the small town of Cougar. Situated in the shadow of Mount Saint Helens, Beaver Bay Campground can be used as your home base for all things outdoors in the area. The campground is owned and operated by PacificCorp which presents some different setups than you might be used to.

There are 64 campsites which sit along the edge of Yale Lake making it an ideal spot for fishing, swimming or just relaxing along the edge of the lake. The campsites themselves are lacking in privacy and many of them are crammed very close to eachother. However, if you visit when the crowds are lower you might be able to find a nicer, more private site.

Alcohol is prohibited in the campground and they close the gates from 9pm to 6am so coming and going is out of the question.

  1. Can I please get get your phone number? Our family has questions about your campsite reservation…we want to see the availability for the weekend of July 4 at that big group campground. Please call me as soon as you can. You can reach me at my number is 503-927-3761. Thank you!!

  2. We have been camping here for over 10 years. We look forward to our week we pencil in every year to make more memories bringing along friends with us. This is a tucked away gem with great services and good hosts that keep the riff raff down so everyone can enjoy themselves.

  3. We just found this campground two years ago and love it. It is located right on Yale Lake and is perfect for boating and swimming. This year we have a group of friends coming with us.

  4. Although alcohol is prohibited at this and the other Pacific Corp. campgrounds it is not enforced. Unless you get rowdy and stupid becoming a nuisance to the campground. We are going this weekend and unfortunately there is a no campfire policy due to the statewide burn ban. Oh well. Still better than sitting on the couch!

    1. Danielle – it does not appear that any of the PacifiCorp operated sites have hookups according to this chart:

  5. To anyone who has camped at Beaver Bay.. We are bringing a Tent Trailer. Can you suggest any sites that have more privacy than others? Thanks!

  6. Looking to bringing our trailer here. I would love to know what hook-ups are available? Water and electric? Is there a dump site near by? Thanks!
