Thielson View Campground Description

Thielson View Campground is located on the west side of Diamond Lake and is a popular campground for fishermen.  The campground gets its name from its direct view of Mount Thielson.  This is a large campground with 60 sites and a boat ramp for easy water access.  There is not much of a beach however swimming is doable though much nicer at Diamond Lake Resort.  During the months of July and August the mosquitoes can be very bad so if visiting during that time be sure to be prepared.

Thielson View campground is just a few short miles from Diamond Lake Resort which has a small convenience store with minimal food and mostly bait and tackle. There is also a restaurant and bar at Diamond Lake and on the East side of the Lake a small pizza parlour can be found.  Diamond Lake offers numerous activities from fishing, swimming, boating and biking.  The Lake has a 12 mile paved road around it and is perfect for a bike ride or long run.

Diamond Lake and Thielson View Campground are popular areas for campers who are visiting Crate Lake to stay.  Crater Lake is fairly close and the campgrounds at Crater Lake often fill up quickly leaving to find other places to stay.
