Tahkenitch Campground

Tahkenitch Campground is located off highway 101 just a few miles north of the town of Reedsport, Oregon.  The campground has 31 campsites and is in a heavily wooded area.  Nearby campers can find a hiking trail head and close access to the Oregon Dunes recreation area. ??Tahkenitch Campground is typically open from May through October.

The campground itself is older with some sites having very old and rotting picnic tables.  You will find some very private campsites and some with no privacy at all – you might even find yourself essentially “sharing” a site with other campers as the picnic tables in some sites are right next to each other.

There is a camp host on site, fires are allowed, toilets are flushing and there is drinking water.Expect to hear heavy freeway noise as the entire campground parallels Highway 101 just a 100 yards away.
