Armstrong Campground Description

Armstrong Campground is located off Highway 224 on the edge of the Clackamas River in the Mount Hood National Forest. It is a small campground with just 11 sites and is one that is sure to fill up very early during the busy season.  Roughly half of the campsites are situated on the edge of the river however actual access to the river could be difficult due to a steep embankment.  The river itself provides the constant echo of roaring water and gives off a very peaceful feeling despite the campground be located right off the highway.

Each campsite includes a fire pit, picnic table and drinking water is available from a old fashioned pump.  Nearby activities include fishing, swimming, hiking and mountain biking.
